About Colorado Restorations

My Dad used to call himself a "Jack of all trades, Master of none" but in fact he was truly a "Master" as he earned his "Doctor of Motors" from Chevrolet in the 1950's. He was also a stock car race driver and builder as well as an accomplished machinist. Unfortunately my Brothers and I lost him to cancer way too early in life but thankfully he taught us all very well.

Due to his teaching I can honestly say "I have never met a motor that I could not make run". I started air brushing and painting cars in the 70's and then ended up working in computers for almost 30 years.

Throughout that time my passion for repairing, restoring and painting old items has continued to where it is today. Items include pretty much everything from old motorcycles, refrigerators, caterpillars, tube radios, hit miss motors to building mini cannon replicas and steam engines. My preference is usually to restore items back to as they were brand new but it really does depend on the item and its current condition as some things are best left with their original 'patina'.
